Grande Anse des Salines
Wade in the clear waters of this beach, which boasts of being the best in the Caribbean. Grande Anse des Salines is located on the southern tip of Martinique.

La Savane
Take a sunset stroll through the leafy La Savane central park, a garden-like setting overlooking the Baie des Flammands waterfront in Fort-De-France. The park features statues of French empress Josephine Bonaparte, and French nobleman Pierre Belain de'Esnambuc, who claimed the island in behalf of France in 1635.

Maison de la Canne
Peer into the area's sugar industry and its impact on the manufacturing of rum at this museum and golf course located near Trois llets.

Musée de La Pagerie
Study the life of French empress Josephine Bonaparte at this museum set in a farm, her birthplace, in south Martinique. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Musée Volcanique
Experience the wrath of the bullying Mont Pelée volcano, and study the events of its eruption in 1902 and its devastating impact on St.-Pierre.

Rhum St. James
Sample Martinique's thriving industry at this rum distillery near Le François. The distillery is one of at least half a dozen in Martinique.
